Va. Governor Reaches Across Political Divide

Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, a Democrat, manages to maintain high approval ratings in a Republican-controlled state. Warner is a pragmatist who often avoids divisive social issues. This story is the first in an occasional series of profiles on governors who lead by crossing party lines.
