Marking the 60th Anniversary of Iwo Jima

Saturday marks the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II. Almost 7,000 Marines died during the three-week battle, and almost 20,000 Japanese. It was one of the last major stands by Japanese forces before the end of the war in the Pacific.
