Pope John Paul II is publishing a new book in which he writes for the first time about the attempt on his life in 1981. He also compares abortion to the Holocaust, which has already sparked controversy in Germany. The Vatican held a press conference Tuesday announcing the publication of the book, Memory and Identity, which is aimed at a mass audience.
