Pope John Paul II spent a restful night in the hospital following a tracheotomy on Thursday. Newsweek correspondent Christopher Dickey tells NPR's Alex Chadwick the Pontiff has never shied away from suffering — instead, he's embraced it as a way of reminding the faithful of the suffering of Jesus Christ on the cross.
