Organized labor is in trouble in the U.S., and union leaders are debating fiercely over the movement's core priorities. Should labor devote more resources to organizing or to supporting political candidates sympathetic to its agenda? Without a consensus on this question, the AFL-CIO is in danger of breaking apart.
