Slate's Explainer: Choosing a World Bank President

Slate contributor Dan Engber explains what the president of the World Bank does, and how he or she is chosen. The current president of the World Bank will step down this May, and a number of names have been forwarded to take his place — including rock star Bono of the band U2.
