Researcher Waits 24 Years… And Counting

Seth Rosenfeld was researching FBI activity during the Cold War and filed a request for documents under the Freedom of Information Act. The government was supposed to reply within 20 days. But Rosenfeld is still waiting — 24 years later. He has received thousands of pages but is still expecting more. A research library now says Rosenfeld holds the record for the "longest pending" request under the law.
