Gauging Liberia's Political Future

NPR's Robert Siegel talks with Jacques Klein, United Nations Special Representative in Liberia. Klein has been in Liberia since late 2003, after 14 years of civil war in which approximately 200,000 people were killed. Elections are now set for October. Klein says Liberia is still in economic ruin, but he believes a fair election is possible and that the country is on the mend.
