Jeffrey Weise, the 16-year-old identified as the attacker in Monday's shootings on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in northern Minnesota, was active on Nazi-themed Web sites, according to investigators seeking a motive in the case. Weise killed nine in the attacks before taking his own life.

Weise killed his grandfather and a companion before shooting several more at a school on the Red Lake Indian reservation. Relatives and classmates describe him as a quiet youth who dressed in black and didn't fit in.

Investigators have portrayed Weise as a troubled teenager with few friends and a family life marred by tragedy and loss. He is also believed to have become involved with neo-Nazi ideas, posting dozens of messages to a website run by the Libertarian National Socialist Green Party.
