What's a Little Pie in the Face?
In a famous incident in 1912, Theodore Roosevelt was shot while giving a speech and insisted on finishing the speech. This incident was not quite so dramatic, but the conservative pundit William Kristol was speaking at Indiana's Earlham College when a student hit him in the face with a pie. Kristol wiped the pie from his face and then said, "Just let me finish this point." The audience applauded, and he finished his presentation.
