The U.S. Must Go Further Than Promoting Democracy

There are many signs that the Muslim world is becoming more democratic, and our commentator applauds all of these changes. But, he says, the American government should go beyond the push for democracy by addressing the religious appeal of Islamic fundamentalism that promotes violence.
