Schumann and Grigoras Dinicu
The young clarinetist Igor Begelman takes on all the colors of fantasy as Schumann wrote them. He plays with pianist Tatiana Goncharova at Merkin Hall in New York — first the Fantasy Pieces, Op. 73 by Schumann, and then a Romanian rocket called Hora Staccato, by Grigoras Dinicu (GREE-goh-rahsh DEE-nee-koo).
