Hear Part Two of Concertante's Performance
April 14, 2005 - There are countless established chamber quartets and trios, but in the world of classical music, touring sextets are uncommon. The string ensemble Concertante is one of the rare exceptions. Founded in 1995, the energetic New York-based group is currently wrapping up a busy 2004-2005 touring schedule.
Violinists Xiao-Dong Wang and Ittai Shapira, cellists Alexis Pia Gerlach and Sophie Shao and violists Rachel Shapiro and Ara Gregorian join NPR's Fred Child for a performance in Studio 4A.
