Release of HIV/AIDS List Probed in Florida

RealMed had no role in writing or sending the letters. Also, the story erroneously reported that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not support HIV reporting because of fears that will deter people from being tested. The CDC has advised all states to collect HIV data as an extension of their AIDS surveillance effort. And it has found no evidence name-based HIV reporting is a deterrent to testing. NPR regrets the errors.
