U.S. Forges Closer Intelligence Ties with Sudan
Madeleine Brand talks to Los Angeles Times correspondent Ken Silverstein about his report that the Bush administration has forged close intelligence ties with Sudan's Islamic regime. Sudan's leader, Lt. General Oman Hassan Ahmed Bashir, once had very close relations with Al Qaeda -- even allowing terrorists to live openly in the country -- and is complicit with the ongoing genocide of non-Islamic people in the Darfur region.
