Director of Banned Iranian Film Gets Unlikely Job

Iranian clerics may not like the content of a controversial film, but one of them clearly admires the director's technique. Kamal Tabrizi made a film that mocked Iran's religious rulers and that was a big hit — until it was pulled from theaters. Now he has another job. Iranian cleric and leading presidential candidate Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has added the director to his media team. He's been hired to make a 30-minute campaign commercial.
