Bush Acknowledges Opposition to Social Security Proposals
President Bush acknowledged his push to revamp Social Security has met strong opposition. He says that has only emboldened him and that he will keep traveling and pressing for his ideas.
He made the statements during a press conference Tuesday morning at the White House.
Among other issues, Bush reaffirmed his support of the fledgling Iraqi government, denounced an Amnesty International report on allegations of prisoner abuse at Guantanamo Bay, and urged the Senate to vote on confirming John Bolton, his nominee to the United Nations.
