Mixed Berries in Wine and Lime Sauce

2 cups fresh blueberries

2 cups fresh raspberries

1 cup small to medium strawberries, halved

2/3 cup Gew├╝rztraminer wine, white Zinfandel, or other sweet, fruity white wine

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons sugar

Mint sprigs, for garnish

In a large bowl, combine the blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, wine, lime juice, and sugar and toss gently until the sugar dissolves and the berries are well coated with sauce. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for I to 2 hours. Toss once more just before serving. Spoon the berries and sauce into individual bowls, garnish each serving with a sprig of mint, and serve.

Serves 6 to 8.
