Human Rights Groups: Law Misused in Fight Against Terrorism
One of the tools the Justice Department has used to fight terrorism domestically is the "Material Witness Law." A new study by the American Civil Liberties Union and Human Rights Watch concludes that the government has misused the law to detain innocent people for extended periods of time.
