Racial Tension, Protests in New Orleans

Visitors from around the country will converge on New Orleans later this week for the Essence Music Awards, but the mood in the city is far from calm. The controversy surrounding the New Year's Eve death of a black man in the city's French Quarter has stirred racial tension and has residents — and the local NAACP — marching in protest.
