A Great Leap Forward for Extreme Sports

A California skateboard legend has jumped across the Great Wall of China. Danny Way took off from a specially built ramp at the 3,000-year-old Ju Yong Guan Gate. He cleared a 61 foot gap — a first — on a vehicle without a motor. Three years ago, a Chinese athlete died while attempting to jump the ancient wall on a mountain bike. Way said his heart was pounding, but he managed to do four spins as he flew over the Great Wall.
