The World Café Summer Reading Series continues with Larry Kirwan, the frontman of Black 47. He has a new book out: Green Suede Shoes: An Irish American Odyssey, which details his journey from Ireland, to the streets of Greenwich Village.

Beginning in the 1950s, Green Suede Shoes is the latest book from Kirwan, who previously wrote the novel Liverpool Fantasy, which told the story of that fabled town in its pre-legendary days.
