Richard Wagner had a special hall built to his exact specifications for the performance of his operas. The industrial town where it was built, Bayreuth, is now known for little other than productions of Wagner's operas during the annual Wagner Festival. As the current festival kicks off this week, we take you to a nearby city to a concert by the Stuttgart Radio Symphony with conductor Georges Pretre. They perform excerpts from Wagner's Gotterdammerung.
