Chopin

Audio for this story from Performance Today is not available.

Back in the days when summer vacations were long, and taken in exotic places, Frederic Chopin found his inspiration in a village in the country. He wrote to a friend from there. Today is the first in a series of "Postcards from Composers," and pianist Frederic Chiu plays Chopin's Mazukas in C sharp minor, B major and A-flat major, published as Chopin's opus 41.
