Who was Mother Goose, anyway? Lisa Simeone leads you to the answer, as we hear Ma Mere L'Oye — Mother Goose — by Maurice Ravel. This is the suite drawn from the ballet, played by the Music of the West Academy Festival Orchestra, conducted by Michael Stern. The Music Academy of the West is based in Santa Barbara, and the orchestra is made up entirely of students.
