The Symphonic Variations for Piano and Orchestra by Cesar Franck are a strange beast — neither a symphony nor a concerto, but a sort of hybrid. We hear pianist Roberto Cominati perform with the RAI National Symphony Orchestra, with Alexander Lazarev conducting. The concert takes place at Agnelli Auditorium in Turin, Italy.
