In an early 19th-century play, exiled Roman general Coriolanus shows mercy and seeks a truce instead of attacking Rome. But his new army considers this treason, so the decision costs Coriolanus his life. Beethoven's "Coriolan" Overture was inspired by the play. Christian Benda conducts the Belgrade Radio-Television Symphony Orchestra in a concert at Kolarac Hall in Belgrade, Serbia.
