Postcard from Composers: Antonin Dvorak
Antonin Dvorak
Our series continues with a postcard from Antonin Dvorak that reveals both his enthusiasm for Iowa's countryside and his homesickness. His U.S visit had a significant impact on his music, including his New World Symphony.
This performance of the symphony's Finale comes from a studio recording at the Czech Radio Studios. Vladimir Valek leads the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra.
