Wisconsin's Beloit College has put out its annual "mindset list." It's a look at the world of college freshmen. The class of 2009 was mostly born in the late '80s — which means that in these young people's memories, voice mail has always been available. "Cut and paste" involves a computer, not scissors. Boston has always been working on the Big Dig. Liberace, Jackie Gleason and Lee Marvin have always been dead. And "whatever" is not part of a question.
