Panic on Bridge Kills Hundreds in Baghdad

In Iraq, about 650 people die and hundreds more are injured in a stampede on a bridge over the Tigris River. The victims are mostly women and children, who were on their way to a Shiite Muslim religious festival. Rumors that a suicide bomber was planning to attack the crowd caused panic, according to officials.
