Retro Pumps Cost Vermont Gas Stations
Gas for less than $3 a gallon may have become a thing of the past -- except in old fashioned rural Vermont. There, scores of gas stations own pumps so old they can't display prices higher than $2.99. One retailer sold gas for below $3 dollars a gallon until he ran out. Other stations just shut down. Now Vermont says stations can cover-up the prices at the antique pumps as long as they display the higher prices on signs.
