Dog Loving Tycoon Evacuates Louisiana Pets

"Operation Pet Lift" took off Sunday, flying some 80 dogs lost after the Hurricane from Louisiana to temporary homes in California. Texas oil Tycoon T. Boone Pickens chartered the Continental Airlines flight. Some made the trip in cages, in the cargo hold. But a few very lucky dogs got travel in a sort of animal first class — roaming the cabins, barking and wagging their tails.
