Two Paganini performances are on the bill, in anticipation of Tuesday's auction of an instrument once owned by the famed violinist and composer Nicolo Paganini. From an earlier performance, pianist Konstantin Lifschitz plays a Franz Liszt piano transcription of music by Paganini in NPR's studio 4A. And violinist Christian Tetzlaff plays Paganini's Caprice No. 1 in concert in Germany.
