The Senate tackles issues related to detainee treatment, Iraq war-related intelligence and media leaks. It rejects a bid by Democrats to set up a commission to look into the abuse of detainees.

The Senate also considered the misuse of pre-war intelligence, and GOP leaders call for a probe into media leaks.
