Mozart and Early America

Audio for this story from Performance Today is not available.

We look at life from both sides now — the life that Mozart was living in the 1770s, and what it was like for Americans in the Revolutionary War period. We hear from Colonial music experts David Hildebrand and Kate Keller, and we finish off with Mozart's Divertimento for Wind Sextet, K. 213, by the Harmonie Octett, in Denmark.
