This week, a new British law takes effect that provides civil partnerships with the same rights and obligations as marriage. Last week, South Africa's highest court ruled in favor of gay marriage. Yet in many countries, homosexuality itself is illegal. How does the rest of the word view gay marriage and civil unions?
