ACLU: Files Show FBI Spied on Activist Groups
The American Civil Liberties Union says it has FBI documents that show terrorism investigators monitored People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, Greenpeace and other activist groups. The FBI says members of those groups were found to have connections to terrorist organizations under investigation. The ACLU obtained the documents under a Freedom of Information request.
