Gershwin

Music by Bach is often said to be "universally playable"; no matter what instrument Bach wrote for, ANY instrument or ensemble can play it, and Bach's musical vision still shines through. You might say the same about songs by George Gershwin. Their poetry and lyricism have universal appeal. The Lark Quartet plays three songs by Gershwin, arranged for string quartet by Stanley Silverman. "He Loves and She Loves," "Do It Again," and "Sweet and Lowdown."
