Some people who are willing to take a hybrid with a little less horsepower can now get a bonus. Salt Lake City has just joined several other cities that offer free metered parking for all green vehicles. Low emissions, the use of alternative fuels or a mileage of 50 miles to the gallon or better will keep you from looking for that spare change under the floor mats. That comes on top of the $3,000 tax credit that you can already get in the state of Utah. Other places on the hybrid free parking list include New Haven, Connecticut, Fresno, California, and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
