Risk of Depression Relapse High During Pregnancy
Women with a history of major depression who stop taking their medication during pregnancy have a high likelihood of relapse. A new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association is the first to quantify the risk of relapse during pregnancy and counters earlier thinking that pregnancy protects women from depression.
