Samuel Coleridge-Taylor

English composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor had both racial and musical stereotypes to deal with. He was of African descent, but he wrote classical western music in the early 20th century. Here's his Romance for Violin and Piano, Op. 59, No. 2. The peformers are Nokuthula Ngwenyama on violin, and Melvin Chen on piano.
