Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer and Mark O'Connor

Audio for this story from Performance Today is not available.

On this American holiday, we spend some time with several musicians who like to dig into the roots of American music. First we hear from banjo player Bela Fleck and bassist Edgar Meyer, who join Fred Child in Studio 4A to share their arrangement of music by Bach; then Bela Fleck's own piece, "Bug Tussle." Fred also talks with violinist and fiddler Mark O'Connor. And we hear from a recording of O'Connor's Fiddle Concerto, which mixes the sounds of fiddling and country music into a classical concerto.
