The strong Austrian alpine ski team put on a dominating performance today in the mountains at the Winter Olympics. In the men's giant slalom, World Cup leader Benjamin Raich won a gold medal and teammate Hermann "Hermannator" Maier took bronze. Bode Miller was shut out of the medals in his fourth straight event.
Austria's Michaela Dorfmeister won her second gold medal of the games, capturing the women's Super G. The victories help take the sting out of a weekend drug raid involving Austria's biathletes and cross-country skiers. Results of analysis on the seized materials, which included syringes, have not yet been announced.
