Henry T. Burleigh was an African-American singer, arranger and composer who befriended Antonin Dvorak when the famed Czech composer lived in New York. Baritone Thomas Hampson sings Burleigh's song "Ethiopia Saluting the Colors" in concert at Bass Hall in Fort Worth. It's part of the "Song of America" tour presented by Hampson and the Library of Congress.

Then we hear from Burleigh's friend Dvorak. The Luxembourg Philharmonic plays the Largo from the Symphony No. 9, the "New World" Symphony. Claus Peter Flor conducts the orchestra, in concert at the Center for the Arts in Ettelbruck, Luxembourg.
