Vivaldi in Boston

In the 1980s, Fabio Biondi (FAH-bee-oh bee-AWN-dee) had a decent career in Italy as a violinist. But freelance work was spotty, and he often found himself playing music chosen by somebody else. So in 1990, he took matters into his own hands and founded his own early music ensemble — Europa Galante (yur-OH-pah guh-LAHN-tay). We'll hear the group play the Sinfonia from Antonio Vivaldi's opera Bajazet (bah-zhah-ZET) in concert at the Boston Early Music Festival.
