Christopher Layer

Christopher Layer is a master of the uilleann pipes.

March 17, 2006 - The uilleann (illen) pipes have a distinctly Irish bite. We'll hear Christopher Layer in concert with two American symphonies. First, Layer plays the jig "Water Under the Keel," from Shaun Davey's "Brendan Voyage." Anne Harrigan is conducting the Battle Creek Symphony. Then Layer plays "Blackwell's" with the Lafayette Symphony of Indiana. Once again, Anne Harrigan, conducting an arrangement by Shaun Davey.
