Monday's NPR News Agenda
From this morning's NPR News meeting.
Bush: Speaks in Cleveland today on the Iraq war and the great success we're having there. Interesting bit: he'll be appearing before the Cleveland City Club and taking questions for 20 minutes. Apparently the club is known for tough q's. We'll see. Mine would involve piracy. ARRRRRHHH!!
Cheney: Wins the "Most Apt Venue" award. He's speaking at the -- and I'm not kidding -- Spread Eagle Tavern, in Hanoverton, Ohio. It's a GOP fundraiser. You can stop giggling now.
Belarus: Demonstrations there, calling yesterday's election a fraud. Most agree.
Da Vinci Code: Trial drawing to a close. Authors suing Dan Brown for copying their book say Brown's wife also to blame.
Moussaoui: Trial resumes today. Expect more legal hijinks.
World Baseball Classic: Championship game tonight: Cuba vs. Japan. Whole series confirms suspicions that U.S. players are spoiled and lazy.
Iraq: Deb Amos has a piece tonight on counterinsurgency efforts.
