Los Angeles Legend Retires from Bus Yard
RENEE MONTAGNE, host:
Arthur Winston retired this week, after 90 years of work. At ten he picked crops. For the past 76 years he worked as a bus-maintenance man for the L.A. Metropolitan Transport Authority. He only missed a single day of work, but figured it was time to retire when he turned 100. Hundreds of dignitaries, adoring coworkers and a gospel choir gave him a big send off at the newly named Arthur Winston Bus Yard.
