We open the hour with Mexican music for Cinco de Mayo. Manuel Ponce, born in 1882, is considered by some to be the quintessential Mexican composer. Among his most popular pieces is "Estrellita," which is played here by the Festival Orchestra of Mexico, conducted by Enrique Batiz.
