New President Faces Opposition at Gallaudet
For the second time in two decades, students at the world's only university for the deaf are protesting the selection of the school's new president. Eighteen years ago, similar demonstrations demanded a deaf president for a deaf university. This time, the issues are slightly different. The new president, Jane Fernandes, was born deaf.
